This morning, the halls of St. Anne’s were buzzing with excitement and energy as students and staff gathered in the Great Hall to witness a momentous occasion: the reveal of the school’s mission statement. It was a party to remember, filled with joy, empowerment, and the unmistakable bond of sisterhood.
The SAC/SAS Dramatic Society delivered an unforgettable production of School of Rock, The Musical, captivating audiences across four sold-out performances.
Last week, the community came together to honour the sacrifices of soldiers from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous, Black Canadian, Southeast Asian, and Chinese Canadian servicemembers, as well as women who played pivotal roles in wartime efforts.
On Monday, Sept. 30, the St. Anne’s community came together to observe Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, wearing orange shirts to symbolize solidarity and remembrance.
On Friday, Sept. 20, St. Anne’s proudly participated in the Terry Fox National School Run, joining schools nationwide to honour one of Canada’s most beloved heroes.
On May 16, 2024, a bright sun shone down on Dunin House for a truly historic event: the installation of the St. Anne’s School time capsule, set to be opened in 50 years.
Wellness is front and centre at St. Anne’s School. It is integrated into our weekly Community Gatherings and advisory to promote student well-being. We host workshops and guest speakers. We practice mindfulness and yoga to promote physical and mental healthfor students and staff. We provide faculty with resources for social-emotional learning and mental health awareness in classrooms.
The Cygnets Holiday Cheer debuted with the First Cygnets in 2022, consisting of 38 Grade 9 students who put on a spectacular production. This year’s extravaganza had 174 students from Grades 5 to 10 participate in an evening that solidified this holiday tradition for St. Anne’s School (SAS).
The First Cygnets of St. Anne’s School have taken flight! September 2022 has been a uniquely exciting time of firsts: first New Family Welcome Day, first Fall Flight trip, first classes in the Cygnets Centre, first athletic teams, first robotics and coding, first Terry Fox run, and first partnered co-curricular with St. Andrew’s College.
SAC announces plans to open a school for girls in Aurora. St. Anne's School will provide an inspirational learning environment for girls to build character, own their voice, imagine their future, strive for distinction, and ultimately, build a better world.
