U14 Alpine Ski Team Sharpens Skills at Craigleith

The U14 Alpine Ski team made the trip to Craigleith Ski Club, taking full advantage of the fresh snowfall to fine-tune their technique. The morning was dedicated to practice slalom and “stubbie” courses, allowing racers to build confidence and adjust to the conditions.

In the afternoon, the team delivered two successful slalom runs, with every skier completing their races—no disqualifications or DNFs (did-not-finish). After some encouraging words from coaches, Maddie and Skyler made notable improvements in their approach to the gates, showing increased precision and confidence. Karena once again posted the fastest combined time for SAS, continuing her impressive season.

With the CISAA championships on February 26, the team will spend the next few training days refining their edge control, early turn initiation, and race speed. Momentum is building, and they’re ready to bring their best to the championship course.
