Parents

Parents play a crucial role in enriching and supporting life at St. Anne’s School by cultivating a sense of community and contributing to the school’s overall success. They actively engage in school life by volunteering at school events, organizing fundraisers to enhance the student experience, and participating through their membership in the Parents Guild.

By upholding the school’s mission, vision, and values, supporting capital campaigns, and endorsing scholarships and bursaries for deserving students, parents create an environment conducive to student growth. Their dedication and commitment strengthen the fabric of life at St. Anne’s, fostering a robust partnership between home and school.

Parents Guild

The St. Anne’s Parents Guild was established in 2023 and is constituted to enhance student life in all its diversity, foster community spirit, and help fundraise for St. Anne’s highest priority needs. All parents automatically become members upon enrolment of their child. The guild is overseen by an executive committee of parents who meet monthly during the school year.

Here are ways the Parents Guild engages all parents:

  • The Family Mentor program ensures that new students and their families are welcomed and helped as they transition into the community.
  • The Class Ambassador program arranges for grade-specific information to be communicated regularly to all parents. It ensures parents feel connected to the school and other families in their child’s grade.
  • New Family Orientation Days welcome new families to campus, where they attend a breakfast and meet their family mentor, other parents, and members of the Parents Guild.
  • The annual gala is the social event of the school year for St. Andrew’s College and St. Anne’s School and the main fundraiser for both Parents Guilds. Gala guests are traditionally treated to an evening of great food, signature cocktails, beautiful décor, impressive auction items, games, and performances from the students.
  • A seasonal holiday sale.
  • Social gatherings that raise funds for St. Anne’s and allow parents to get to know one another.
  • Help facilitate activities for Cygnets that foster community spirit.
  • SAS Line sells gently used uniforms, gym clothes, and spirit wear.
Empowering girls to be courageous learners and compassionate citizens who live and lead with wisdom.
